Week 7

Work done on Wednesday

On Wednesday we looked at the current version of the mock-up. By Friday the mock-up was done. Now just needs the different elements need to be separated, work on them a little bit further, so that they can be used in the app.

We also discussed the coding of our solution. We agreed upon the name of the different elements, attributes and classes, so that the different group member's separate coding can be easily combined. Further we decided who will be coding the HTML and who will be doing the CSS.

On Wednesday we looked at the video that was done for the ICT Showroom. It was well received and only needed some minor changes with timing. The final version is below.

Week 6

This week we had our PO meeting. The outcome of the meeting is presented in the earlier post. On Wednesday we divided some tasks.

Michael and Alex has been working on the first version on the ICT Showroom marketing video. On Friday the video was commented on, with some changes to be done. The video will be posted later on, when it is ready.

The training pitch has been worked on and it can be seen below.

The graphics team has worked on the final mock up to been sent to the PO as well as the poster for the ICT-Showroom. A logo for our group has also been made. It can be seen at the top of this post.

The rest of the group have been learning HTML5 and CSS, because this is the way we are going to code our prototype. Javascript will also be used. Soon we will start to actually create our prototype, so the basics of the coding will need to be learned.

Meeting with our Project Owner Terveystalo 9.2

The meeting started at 2.30 PM and students attending the meeting was Haris, Michael, Roosa, Iiro and Li.

The meeting began with the presentation of our mockups. Iiro first presented the flipcards mockup. Michael presented the second mockup, which was the wheel. Finally Li presented the hospital mockup. 

After each mockup we got some feedback from the Terveystalo representatives. The chosen mockup was a mix of the flipcard and wheel mockup.

We then moved on to the overview of the new Terveystalo website. We were told the steps taken to improve and modernize their existing website. It was fair to say that the new design looked far more appealing. 

We were informed that we could have access to their brand material and they would send us some additional data and new marketing material. 

The meeting then ended at 4.00 PM

Week 5

This week we have mostly worked on our materials for the ICT Showroom event. To be more precise we have attempted to find a plausible way for us to make a decent promotional video, the current plan would be to create some kind of an animation. We also decided to spend more time practicing the tools we will be using so that after our meeting next week we can jump right back into work.

Summary 2016

2016 January I have been on lectures and done few Mockups to my "wheel of fortune" idea on PhotoShop, check the Trello and try to find promovideo ideas. -Roosa

Since our PO did not pay so much attention to our project, we could not get confirmation of our solution for the project. Our group decides to continue with all three solutions. My solution is about make a GUI for the information gathering process. The GUI is an animated hospital skin. I have made some animated doors as the future assets which may be used later. Now we are trying to get inspiration from other videos to decide our pitching/presenting video in IT showroom. - Li

In January 2016 I have learned about the implementation part of the project. Its been tough as we have no communication with our project owner and he never responds us back. We are still motivated and working on the project and I hope to learn more about teamwork and gamified solution.- Haris

During this week I started to work with the mockup and did few improvements to it together with Iiro. Basically he made the graphical side and I did all the mechanical changes to the html mockup. After we finished with that we got into planning the video for the stand. After couple of hours we came up with two ideas which can be refined to better solutions. Other one can be used as a gamified solution also, but we have to look into that later on. - Valtteri

During January of 2016 I have worked on a couple of mockups, worked on our blog and tried to come up with some ideas for our ICT showroom video. The importance of communication has really been enforced this January in my opinion. - Michael

In January my work load hasn't been much, compared to the end of last year. My biggest task for this year was to come up with a frame for our ICT Showroom Poster. It was just a rough draft with how we could position the content, how the background could look like etc. I've been filling in for Michael and Haris with Meeting Minutes and weekly report when they have been absent. My job is also to maintain the Trello board. Being the Project leader I answer any questions the rest of the team might have, at least to the extent that I can. -Alex

We have been working on our mock-ups. We have learned how to come up with ideas, discard the non-workable ones and refine the good ones. My idea got axed on the way and evolved a bit into another idea. I made mock-ups for couple ideas and also made some graphics for Valtteri's html-mock-up. We have also been mulling around ideas for our promotional poster and video but we are waiting for some input to our ideas from our PO before we can start working. - Iiro
